FROSTPROOF MIDDLE WINS STATE FFA
OPENING & CLOSING CEREMONY CONTEST

Frostproof FFA members have some great leaders to follow with this past school year’s Middle school FFA officer team. At the recent 80th annual State FFA Convention the Frostproof team placed first in the Opening and Closing Ceremony contest.

POLK COUNTY CATTLEWOMEN ANNOUNCE
2008 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE

The Polk County Cattlewomen’s Association awards two, $2,000 dollar scholarships annually to deserving high school seniors that have an interest in agriculture and the beef industry.

The cattlewomen honored the following winners in November 2007:

Megan Adams, Fort Meade – 2007 Academic Award Scholarship

Joshua Smith, Bartow – 2007 Agriculture Award Scholarship

In 2007, the PCCW raised more than $5,300 for their scholarship fund at the Annual Polk County Cattlemen’s Dinner and Cake Auction.
