Reading grades are composed of Skills grades and
Accelerated Reader grades (AR). The skills grades are posted throughout the
entire nine week grading period. The AR grades are posted only at the
interim report period and at the end of the nine week grading period. Only at
these two times will the AR grades be averaged with the skills grades for a
final grade.
If your child
is not meeting his or her AR goal, the reading grade will significantly
decrease; if you child is exceeding his or her AR goal, the reading grade may
significantly increase.
