Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball team for beating Winter Haven High School 9-6 for the District Championship Game. This marks the second time in two years that the Eagles have flew past Winter Haven HS with ease. Jared Bennett pitched very well leeping the Winter Haven hitters off balance. Big hits helped the Eagles with their victory. Trey Richardson hit a 3-run homerun in the first inning. Kyle Newton also hit a double with an RBI that scored Brandon Pratt. Hicks was 1-3 and so was Birdwell. Pratt hit a GRAND SLAM in the third inning, he was 2-4 on the night. The George Jenkins High School Eagles will host Daytona Seabreaze Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 7:00pm at GJHS. Come out and support the Eagles. (Editor: Brandon Pratt)

Congratulations to our GJHS Baseball team for their Win 4-1 against McKeel Academy on the first day of the 2008 Blue Devil Classic.  Dimitri Nunez had a (5) hitter and finished with (6) strikeouts. Graham Hicks has a (2) run single. 

Congratulations to our GJHS Baseball team for their Win against Columbia 1-0.  Graham Hicks pitched a (4) hit shutout.  Jenkins came in 3rd place in the 2008 Blue Devil Classic.  Great job guys!

GJ vs. WHHS
Defeated district rival 9-7 in eight innings. Doug Freeman, Blake Birdwell, and Kyle Newton all had multiple hits to give the eagles the win and the #1 spot in the district.

GJ vs. Lake Region
Graham Hicks pitched a complete game shutout to give the Eagles a 3-0 win. It was 1-0 going into the bottom of the 6th until Brandon Pratt, Doug Freeman, Kyle Newton, and Trey Richardson helped put the Eagles up 3-0.
